How did we get Started in Meat Raffles?
We got started in the Meat Raffle supply business almost by accident. A few years ago we learned that brewers grain was a great source of protien for our Highland cattle and while driving through town we saw “Walking Distance Brewery” . After talking with the amazing team there, they found themselves needing a way to get rid of their spent grains. After a few months, Teddy reached out and said “You guys want to sell me meat for Meat Raffles”? At first I had no idea what he was talking about. After doing research, even going to Wisconsin to see a few meat raffles, I knew it was a project we could make a reality. We continued to learn from each other as we find what types of meat are most desired and I work with my butcher to create cuts that I know your patrons will desire. We take this trust very serious, afterall, your customers support you because of your local quality drinks. We at The Fancy Farm Wife take our finished products just as serious and what could be better than 2 small businesses working together to give our community a fun event that they can plan on attending with regularity.
I have to admit, when we do stop by on occassion at Raffles, nothing makes us prouder than customers coming up and telling us how much they love attending and then cooking our beef/pork.
